The sitting areas were cozy, but unfortunately, the rooms had a bad smell and felt unclean. They did offer storage for boots and bikes which was convenient.

The staff was incredibly knowledgeable, polite, and helpful, making our stay enjoyable. They were excellent in catering to both couples and groups of friends, offering a welcome drink and pet amenities.

The hotel is set in beautiful gardens, and though it's relatively close to Alton Towers, the location was a bit disappointing with unsupervised kids playing on walls and sheds. However, the honeymoon suite looked charming for romantic getaways.
Dining

The breakfast spread was superb, offering cereal, continental and full English options at a great price for two adults and three children. The only downside was the room being too warm at the top of the building.
Facilities

The dining experience was generous and tasty in the morning. The hotel offered biscuits to enjoy as well.

Staying in the coach house with its own self-catering kitchen, toilets, and bedrooms was a great experience. The rooms were perfect for our needs, and the price we paid for this YHA accommodation was worth it. The ability to get Wi-Fi in the bedroom was convenient, adding value to our stay.

The staff at the hotel were hard-working, friendly, and seemed to be having a great time serving guests. They even prepared and distributed a memo acknowledging any issues they faced.

The location of the hotel in the outbuildings was superb for walking and cycling breaks, with beautiful scenery and easy access to paths and tracks. The village also had great cafes and hotels.
Dining

The dining experience was good value for money, with an additional selection of hot and cold items available for a reasonable extra charge. However, the service was a bit slow at times.

The hotel is located in the beautiful Peak District, making it a great base for exploring the surrounding area. The private en-suite room was lovely, but there was an unpleasant smell upon opening the door. The service was top-notch, with friendly and helpful staff. The facilities were enjoyable, especially the outdoor seating with a beautiful setting.
